Get to know the main NRs in the industry<\/h2>\n

NR-3<\/h3>\n

Regulatory standard 3 describes the urgent Embargo or Interdiction measures. In other words, it deals with situations in which services need to be stopped in part or in full. The same goes for interdiction.<\/p>\n

It is very important for civil production companies, as it is applied when there are serious risks to the health of employees.<\/p>\n

In urgent situations, NR indicates that the employee must continue to receive their salary normally. In case of non-compliance, the company runs the risk of being penalized.<\/p>\n

NR-5<\/h3>\n

NR-5 is one of the most important NRs in the industry because it regulates the formation of CIPA (Internal Accident Prevention Committee). This type of brigade is responsible for identifying, analyzing and preventing the main accident risks.<\/p>\n

CIPA members are always elected through voting by the employees themselves.<\/p>\n

Member duties include:<\/p>\n

  1. Hold periodic meetings;<\/li>\n
  2. Evaluate compliance with safety procedures;<\/li>\n
  3. Discuss and review identified risk situations;<\/li>\n
  4. Promote SIPAT (Internal Work Accident Prevention Week).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    NR-6<\/h3>\n

    Regulatory standard 6 is responsible for ensuring the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). According to her, every company must provide the necessary equipment free of charge and in perfect condition.<\/p>\n

    In return, all employees are required to use PPE when carrying out their activities.<\/p>\n

    PPE includes:<\/p>\n

    • – Helmet;<\/li>\n
    • – Glasses;<\/li>\n
    • – Face shield;<\/li>\n
    • \u00a0Weld mask;<\/li>\n
    • – Hearing protector;<\/li>\n
    • – Purifying respirator;<\/li>\n
    • – Appropriate clothing, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      NR-12<\/h3>\n

      Despite having predominantly very technical content, NR-12 cannot fail to be included in the list of main NRs in the industry. This is because it talks about machines and equipment, presenting detailed information about configurations and use of these machines.<\/p>\n

      In terms of safety, NR-12 talks about protective measures to guarantee the health of employees. For this, criteria are established, such as:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. The equipment’s main switch cannot have a start and stop function;<\/li>\n
      2. Knife-type switches must not be used in electrical circuits;<\/li>\n
      3. Energized parts or parts of electrical circuits cannot be exposed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        All of these requirements are very important both for the continuity of activities and for ensuring health in the work environment.<\/p>\n

        NR-25<\/h3>\n

        Regulatory standard 25 talks about the final destination of industrial waste. After all, all companies have to deal with substances that must be discarded.<\/p>\n

        Waste considered dangerous is that whose substances can be infectious. Therefore, chemical and biological products need to follow cautious procedures for disposal.<\/p>\n

        The standard is directly related to the Brazilian Environmental Institute (IBAMA). This is because this is the body responsible for ensuring environmental inspection.<\/p>\n

        Now that you know some of the main NRs in the industry, it is easier to understand why they are so important for the company’s daily life. However, you need to keep in mind that our list is quite small when we consider all the standards that must be followed to ensure safety.<\/p>\n
