The term ergonomics comes from the Greek ergo (work) and nomos (rules), natural laws. Ergonomics can then be understood as the study of interactions between humans and machines at work.<\/p>\n

Studies in this area emerged in 1949, when the Ergonomics Research Society was created in England.<\/p>\n

The main objective of ergonomics is to develop techniques for adapting elements of the work environment to human beings, seeking to provide ideal conditions of safety, well-being and efficiency in the way they interact.<\/p>\n

Ergonomic care preserves workers’ health, avoiding unnecessary effort on the part of workers and contributing to increasing productivity and reducing absences from work and staff turnover rates (turnover).<\/p>\n

Attention to ergonomics in the industry also prevents companies from facing labor lawsuits from employees away from work due to illnesses such as repetitive strain injury (RSI).<\/p>\n

In addition to modernizing equipment, it is also important to make employees aware of the appropriate posture to be adopted at work and alert them to possible health risks during operations.<\/p>\n

Changes in production lines and storage, such as reducing the height between the pallet and the worker’s bench, using ear protectors and adding a lamp focused on the workstation can contribute to better ergonomic conditions for workers.<\/p>\n

Thinking about meeting the safety and ergonomic needs of the industry, Tecnotri launched a line of rotomolded ergonomic pallets and ergonomic containers<\/a>, developed to guarantee the safety and well-being of employees.<\/p>\n

Ergonomic pallets and containers have dimensions, functions, colors and textures that provide comfort, practicality and safety to professionals.<\/p>\n

\"Ergonomicos<\/p>\n

Tecnotri ergonomic pallets<\/a> allow employees to pack boxes in accordance with the standards recommended by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). The institution created an equation based on physiological, biomechanical and psychophysical criteria, with the aim of determining the correct height to lift and deposit loads, avoiding inappropriate postures and movements of the trunk and upper limbs.<\/p>\n

NIOSH’s recommendation, in relation to vertical measurement, is that pallets maintain an ergonomic window between 51 cm and 125 cm in relation to the ground.<\/p>\n

Ideally, the operator should not need to bend down or bend their spine when bending down to lift a box from the floor. Therefore, Tecnotri developed taller pallet models, up to 60 centimeters high.<\/p>\n

Tecnotri’s rotomolded pallets also comply with the regulatory standards of the Ministry of Labor, such as NR 17 and NR 36, which deal with occupational health issues and indicate parameters for adapting working conditions to employees.<\/p>\n

Storage systems can significantly contribute to improving worker ergonomics. With the pallet storage system, it is possible to facilitate the movement of goods, avoiding accidents and offering greater safety for workers, in addition to protecting products against impacts and falls.
\nPallet storage also allows warehouses to be verticalized, increasing their usable space and ensuring the flow of goods.<\/p>\n

With the aim of improving ergonomic conditions, the industry is also looking to use automatic or semi-automatic systems to stabilize palletized loads.<\/p>\n
