What were Carapitanga’s needs?

Carapitanga specializes in shrimp, with more than 20 years of experience and products consumed throughout Brazil. There are more than 400 nurseries, on 12 farms spread across several states. 

An operation of this size, dealing with an input as fragile as shrimp, requires robust solutions capable of efficiently ensuring the company’s high quality standards. Carapitanga needed improvements to its industrial unit, where the product is processed. 

Finding our work in internet searches, the company contacted us. Our team went to the site to deeply understand the reality and needs of the business, both with regard to shrimp conservation and the ergonomics and practicality of the work. 

The objective was to add a longer shelf life to the shrimp, preserving its fresh characteristics for longer. This would facilitate all processes within the processing unit. 

What was the solution?

Our specialized container for the food segment! After a period of testing the product, identifying that it really met the demands, an order was placed for around 30 bins, and the company plans to acquire others in the future. 

After all, our line has differences that promote adequate storage of inputs, with ease of transport and ergonomics:

  • Locking lids;
  • Resistant to temperatures between -35 and 60°C;
  • Free of seams, nails or welds, with solid walls, requiring no maintenance and reducing the risk of workplace accidents;
  • Light, stackable and palletizable, facilitating transport and hygiene;
  • Non-toxic and meeting Anvisa BPF standards, making it ideal for the food industry.

Importance of having ergonomics as a priority

In addition to worrying about the quality of the shrimp, Carapitanga also had a demand to take care of the comfort of its workers, ensuring safety and better performance in activities, without risks. 

This was one of the reasons why they came to us, looking for materials that were in accordance with NR 17, known as a norma da ergonomics. Products that comply with it help preserve the health of employees, reducing physical, mental and psychological efforts.
