What is the RFID system?
The acronym RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification (in Portuguese, Radio Frequency Identification). The technology serves to identify each product in a logistics chain, in addition to recording information and tracking the merchandise, promoting stock control.
For you to understand better, the purpose of this system is similar to a barcode or magnetic stripes. The difference is that, in the case of RFID technology, chips with data related to the products are applied when loading or packaging the items. The information is then transmitted via radio signals and integrated simultaneously by a management system.
How does the RFID system work on pallets?
On pallets, the RFID system is applied through a label (tag), which can be read without visual and physical contact, unlike the barcode. In this case, a light strip is required to identify product data.
For this to happen, a microchip receives radio signals from a transmitter and sends back information about your location in real time to a management program.
