Understand how the Cold Chain process works
In short, the need for a specific product for transporting vaccines, we want you to know a little about how the Cold Chain process works. Also popularly known as Cold Chain, it is a system for preserving, handling, transporting and distributing products at a controlled temperature. The objective is to prevent the physical-chemical properties of products (in this case, vaccines) from being compromised during the transport process. However, in the case of vaccines against COVID-19, storage of up to -70ºC is required and therefore the presence of dry ice, which corresponds to the temperature supported by Tecnotri’s new Cargo Safe.

Due to the great importance of contributing to the transport of the new vaccine against COVID-19, Tecnotri developed a new Cargo Safe model, which supports temperatures between -70ºC to +60ºC, as it is ideal for housing vaccines that require a high degree of cooling in the Cold Chain. This way, it is possible to maintain the total integrity of products and inputs without them losing their effectiveness.
The Cargo Safe 300 Pró Therm is developed with rotomolded plastic, an extremely resistant, long-lasting, lightweight and non-toxic material. The model is monobloc, that is, without seams or welding, it can be easily cleaned and does not require maintenance. Ideal for transporting fragile inputs, being easy to handle.
Regulations and tests in vaccine transportation
The 300 Pró Therm Cargo Safe meets all standards that regulate the pharmaceutical sector. Check out the main ones:
- Meets the guidelines of the new RDC 430/2020, on Good Practices in Distribution, Storage and Transport of Medicines;
- Follows ANVISA Good Manufacturing Practices standards.
In addition, the effectiveness of the new Cargo Safe for transporting vaccines at -70ºC for 72 hours has been proven in initial tests and is in final qualification.
